Getting Advice in Distribution Management

One of the main features of the Annual Joint Industry Summit of the Fluid Power Distributors Association (FPDA) and the International Sealing Distributors Association (ISD) is training in the area of distribution sales.  Themes in line with this focus were integrated into this year's program on Wednesday, September 26th.

Under the context of the University of Industrial Distribution (UID), several presentations were given by expert trainers.  Jim Pancero of Jim Pancero Inc, presents on Advanced Sales & Sales Management Training for the Experienced Professional and has been a past presenter at this event.  His topics this year were How to Make a Difference as a Sales Manager and Leader of Your Sales Team and Implementing Sales Coaching Sessions with Each Member of Your Sales Team.  These sessions are designed to advance the skills of sales professionals within their organizations.

The other speaker presenting for the UID was John Monoky PhD of Monoky Associates.  John's topics were Be Your Own Business Consultant and Sales Performance by Design.  These topics addressed the changing business environment and the key role that sales and service play in creating a market-driven organization.

With any distribution business, selling is key.  Advancing skills in sales and sales management is what drives successful companies.  The FPDA and ISD have put together a program to advance the skills and techniques used by professionals in fluid power and sealing.
