Another successful fluid power event

Last week, the Fluid Power Distributors Association FPDA held a joint Summit with the International Sealing Distributors Association ISD in Marco Island, Florida at the Marco Island Marriott.  This is the latest in a series of annual summits held jointly by the two associations.

The keynote presenter at this year's event was Nancye Coombs who is a Human Resources expert.  She is the president of HR Enterprises in Loisville, KY, a management consulting company.  She was authoritative, interesting, and entertaining in her sessions and gave great insights on how to build and maintain a great workforce.

The outgoing President and Chairman of the Board of the FPDA is Greg Sidener of Sidener Engineering Company in Noblesville, IN.  His term ended at this Summit and congratulations go out to Greg for his successful leadership of the organization.  The President Elect is Hal Kemp of Hydradyne Hydraulics.  I am sure that Hal will do a great job.

The ISD celebrated it's 20th Anniversary at this year's Summit complete with a cake at the banquet on Thursday evening.  Outgoing President, David Antoline of Lewis & Goetz turned over the gavel at this meeting to new President Christine Jaycox of Pioneer Industrial Corp.  Congratulations to David on his leadership and best wishes to Christine.

As always, the organizer of this Summit and manager of both assiciations, Thompson Management Group did a very professional and thorough job of managing this event.  I compliment my friends there on their excellent work and that includes Joe and Kristin Thompson, Patricia Lilly, Deborah Mitchell, Molly Thompson, and Amy Luckado.  I am always very impressed with their excellent work!
