So far, our YouTube Training program, produced in conjunction with Carl Dyke of LunchBox Sessions, is going very well.  Our April 14, 2020 session on Proportional Directional Valves has generated over 5,600 views!  Our latest session on April 28th on Pilot Pressure Control has already produced over 3,400 views. This is no surprise.  This success is due to the fantastic work of Carl Dyke with his vast knowledge of fluid power and his gifted presentation skills.  We are thrilled to partner with Carl on this project! Fluid Power Technology Conference

This will be the first of several posts about our 2019 Fluid Power Technology Conference held at the Kern Center at MSOE in Milwaukee on May 13-15, 2019.  Let me just start by saying that the Conference was a success in many ways. We offered really great content from our classrooms to the Arena Stage to the Field House stage to the individual booths set up by our sponsors. On Monday, we offered two full-day workshops at the Grohman Tower which is right next to the Kern Center.  One was titled "Advanced Hydraulics Mashup" presented by Tom Blansett of the International Fluid Power Society and it included about 25 attendees who spent the entire day learning. The other session presented on Monday was "Basics" taught by Tom Wanke, Director of the Fluid Power Institute and Industry Relations.  That session was also attended by about 25 individuals interested in gaining more basic knowledge of fluid power technology.  The day concluded with a tour of the...

I have a really great tool for sharing our enthusiasm about the upcoming Fluid Power Technology Conference scheduled for May 13-15, 2019 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  That tool is a podcast. 2019 Fluid Power Technology Conference

We are not quite ready to open registration for our 2019 Fluid Power Technology Conference.  But, I can tell you that it is scheduled to take place at the Milwaukee School of Engineering on May 14-15, 2019.  On May 13th, there will be two full day workshops in conjunction with our FPTC also taking place at MSOE. 2019 Fluid Power Technology Conference

While it is still several months away, planning for the 2019 Fluid Power Technology Conference is now taking shape.  Our Program Committee meeting has met in person and we will be scheduling GoTo Meetings to discuss the program for 2019. Included in those discussions will be important factors like the schedule and topics to be presented from the FPTC stage, panel discussions, and keynote speakers and topics.  With input from our various constituents including exhibitors, MSOE, and our own team, we are confident that an excellent program will be put together for 2019. Additionally, we will consider the logistics for the event including the floorplan, classroom, and meals setup.  We want to make sure that the flow of the event is most advantageous for all in attendance.  So, a lot of planning goes into creating a great fluid power event for May 2019 and we hope that you will be able to join us there. As the Information Age continues and we in the media find more ways to deliver information to our audiences, we at Fluid Power World have introduced another platform that we are calling our Virtual Classroom.   This new feature is kind of a hybrid between video and webinar. The 2018 Fluid Power Technology Conference will be held on May 15-16, 2018 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering MSOE.   Here is a link to our website for more information. At our Fluid Power Technology Conference next week, we will be depending heavily on the expertise provided by the fluid power experts at MSOE who will be doing presentations from the FPTC Stage. Thomas Wanke is the Director of the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Fluid Power Industrial Consortium and Industry Relations. He’s one of the industry’s most popular trainers, with more than three decades of fluid power courses to his credit. Tom is a good friend of Fluid Power World and he was very instrumental in brining the Fluid Power Technology Conference to MSOE.  I am sure that our audience is looking forward to hearing Tom present at our event. Tim is the Director of the Fluid Power Institute at the MSOE University. He has more than 25 years’ experience in industrial and mobile hydraulic systems.
