One Fantastic Issue - February Fluid Power World

You may have already seen it, our February 2020 issue of Fluid Power World.  It is our IFPE Preview issue and we are really proud of it,  Here is a link to our digital issue link The IFPE Show takes place next week in Las Vegas and this is the biggest event in the fluid power industry.  Many fluid power component suppliers exhibit a this show and their names and booth numbers are listed in our February issue.   But it doesn't end there because we have some fantastic content about mobile hydraulic technology in February.  IFPE is co-located with the largest construction equipment show that being ConExpo/ConAgg.  Many of our advertisers are exhibiting in the big event next week as many of their mobile hydraulic customers are present at the ConExpo/ConAgg show.  Our February issue also features content about cylinder sensor, industrial hydraulics, and pneumatics.  We have some features on our advertisers as well. The Future of Mobile Hydraulics

One of the features of our Fluid Power Technology Conference taking place on November 19-20, 2019 at Cleveland State University in Cleveland is our Mobile Hydraulics Panel.  It will consist of industry experts from Danfoss, Liebherr, Hydrotech, and our own Carl Dyke from CD Industrial Group. Of course, mobile hydraulics remains the largest sector of fluid power applications.  So what will these experts have to say about the future of this important sector?  I don't know, you will have to register and attend the event to find out. Cleveland Fluid Power Technology Conference

Registration is now open for our Fluid Power Technology Conference taking place at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio on November 19-20, 2019.  Please click here for the registration page. The event starts on Monday 11/18/19 with a Fluid Power Basics course taught by Tom Wanke of MSOE offering instruction on hydraulic systems that is useful to any professional with a need for some level of fluid power proficiency.  The course is open to all registrants and will take place at the Convocation Center at CSU. The next two days will be filled with seminar sessions, exhibits of fluid power components, networking, a fluid power lab tour, lunches, and a hospitality session on Tuesday.  There will be two panel presentations in addition to the seminar sessions including one on the topic of IoT in fluid power and another on mobile hydraulics. On the agricultural side, fluid power systems play a vital role in helping farmers to keep the world's population fed.  In August, our editors will take a look at some interesting applications.  On the mining side the power and force needed in very harsh environments such as mines, can best be achieved through the use of hydraulics.  This market has shown signs of recovery and we will take a look at some applications in December. What it the Work Truck Show?

Well, it happens every year around this time.  It is not a huge hydraulics show but there are are significant number of fluid power exhibitors there.  It is held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis on March 6-9, 2018. It starts with a full day of technical sessions, networking opportunities, and receptions.  Three days of exhibits follow with everything you need to know about current work truck technology.  Here is their website for more information click here . In the midst of the current economic improvement for the fluid power industry, our November issue will highlight some very important fluid power topics.  The November issue of Fluid Power World will include: Mobile Hydraulics - Here is a review of the performance of mobile hydraulic systems in extreme environments.  Most construction and mining equipment work in harsh environments and we will examine how they stay productive. Pneumatics - Vacuum is used in many industrial applications such as packaging and automation systems.  This issue will take a little deeper dive into vacuum systems and components. Industrial Systems - Maintenance issues and controls will be reviewed in this focus on industrial, in-plant fluid power systems.  Both topics are essential to top performing machinery. Every Issue Matters

When our team of editors plans our Editorial Calendar for Fluid Power World for the coming year, several factors are considered.  The most important factor is aways our readers' interest.  We always strive to produce content that will be both informative and interesting to our readers. We start with a basic outline of topics that will include mobile hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial hydraulics.  We add to that a specific product spotlight every month.  In our September issue, for example, we feature mobile hydraulics in our planned feature, Reservoir Design For Mobile Systems.  Although this article will attempt to explain the function and importance of reservoirs, is should appeal to all mobile equipment designers and users.
