We Inform and Educate Our Audience

Image
I have been a business-to-business media professional for a very long time.  There have been many changes to this business over the past four decades.  What started as a print media, with many focused magazines circulated and read by millions of interested readers with the capability of buying the products advertised, has evolved into an integrated media world of print, digital, e-mail, retargeted, focused, e-blasted, white papers, webinars, and much more world. Those things are all good and I recommend them to my clients.  If you were to ask me today, what is the best value in the business-to-business advertising world, I would answer print magazines still.  Why?  Because our content informs and educates our audience and keeps them coming back for more. Our digital media network is really great and all of the channels work very well to promote our advertisers' company and products.  If your company was starting an ad program today, I would recomme...

2019 Reliable Plant

Image
There are many trade shows that feature products used in fluid power systems and the Reliable Plant Show is one of them. The 2019 Reliable Plant Conference & Exhibition gets underway today at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland today.  Here is a link to their website for more information link   At this annual conference & exhibition, filtration devices, including those used in hydraulic systems, will be on display and reviewed in some of the conference sessions.  We at Fluid Power World  magazine and digital media network know and understand the importance of clean fluid.  So much so that we developed an entire website on the issue titled Sealing & Contamination Control Tips So to understand how to most effectively design and operate hydraulic systems, knowledge of all of the system components is essential.  This show provides another opportunity to hone in on the filtration aspect of hydraulic systems.  The overall...

Coming in June

We continue our 2019 schedule at  Fluid Power World  magazine and digital media network with another excellent print issue.  In our June issue, we will feature  Construction Equipment .     This industry continues to be the largest end use market for hydraulic components.  Our editors will review some interesting applications. Our pneumatic feature will report on  Pneumatic Cylinders .   There are many variations available for users of pneumatic technology to achieve efficiency and productivity in the machinery they design and build.  This article will offer another chapter in component education. We will offer two product focus articles in June with one taking a look a...

The Fabulous Bellagio

Image
Thank you NAHAD for organizing and conducting a really great Annual Convention at the fabulous Bellagio resort in Las Vegas. If you haven't had the chance to visit this super nice property, it would be a good destination on your next visit to Las Vegas.  Take some time to watch the fountain show while you are there. The 2019 NAHAD Annual Meeting & Convention was great from start to finish.  From the golf outing on Friday to the closing party on Tuesday, all of the planned events were successful.  Speed networking, hospitality parties, and planned meeting sessions for attending delegates all added to the value of attending NAHAD. I was particularly impressed with the speakers at the event including Mike Staver on How to Stay Calm Under Pressure and Dirk Beverage on How to Create Relevancy in the Age of Rapid Change.   I learned a lot.   The Showcase of Hose Solutions taking place on Tuesday was the highlight of the event for me.  ...

Zoom In on Success

Image
I have a great new tool in Zoom Meetings to connect with advertisers to explain ways that Fluid Power World can help your company to increase brand awareness while generating sales leads.  In addition to our traditional media of print, web, and e-newsletters, we now offer account based marketing and affinity based marketing. Also included in our  portfolio  of marketing tools we offer, webinars, both single-sponsor and editorial, social media management, pay-per-click management, sales lead management, an in-person event, and much more. So you see, it may take a Zoom Meeting to explain all that we have to offer and I am very interested in sharing marketing ideas  with  fluid  power  marketers.  Let me know when would be a convenient time to have a Zoom Meeting. We can even activate the video portion of the meeting so that it simulates the next best thing to being there.  With so  many  fluid power companies locat...

Mobile Hydraulics Panel

Image
At the 2018 Fluid Power Technology Conference, we introduced a panel discussion and the topic was Women in Fluid Power.  It was quite successful as it was well received by the audience.  The panel did a great job. This year, we are continuing the panel idea but the topic will be Mobile Hydraulics. Our panel will include Gary Dostal of Komatsu Mining Corp., Gary Kassen of CNH Industrial, and Greg Downs of Zoomlion Heavy Industry NA.  This is a nice mix of big-name mobile equipment companies with lot to offer our audience.  There sill be some prepared questions for each panelist but they will be free to go off topic to answer any questions from the audience. If there is any chance that you could attend this event, I am sure you will be quite happy if you did join us.  There will be a full day of basic and advanced fluid power training, two full days of seminar sessions, and over 20 exhibitors to visit and learn from. Here is a link to our regi...
