Fluid Power Continues to Contribute to Our World
We have had many challenges to the business world in 2020 with the pandemic, economic downturn, and violence. It has been a difficult year to say the least.
Many companies in the fluid power world provide components and related products that are essential to keep our world going. In my conversations with many of our advertising customers, I have learned that they are all doing their best to keep things going.
Crops still need to be planted, fertilized, and harvested. Food still needs to be distributed to the public through various means of transportation and material handling. Roads and bridges are being repaired all over the country. Buildings are still being build. Trash is collected.
Fluid power makes a significant contribution to the medical field through the use of pneumatics. Products are manufactured in plants with the use of pneumatic systems. Innovative products continue to roll out from fluid power companies with many more in the works.
While the overall economic numbers show continued struggles, fluid power is not only surviving but making significant contributions to our world in all of the above markets and many more. It is an awesome industry and I am glad to be a part of it.
At Fluid Power World, we have adjusted to the times by ramping up our online presence. First, our YouTube Learning in partnership with Carl Dyke of Lunch Box Sessions has been successful in educating fluid power professionals on many topics from valves to cylinders to seals. We will be announcing an extension to the schedule soon.
Our Fluid Power Technology Conference has successfully switched over to a Virtual Series with two sessions already completed and now available on-demand. We have a full schedule of sessions through the end of the year and you can find that schedule and the opportunity to register for free at this link.
We will continue to look for ways to serve our advertisers and our audiences. If you have any ideas what we can add, please let me know.
