Eliminating obstacles and frustrations
Innovation is a driver for success in industry. I don't think there is much to dispute that fact. Let's ask the question, What is good innovation versus useless innovation? I really don't have the answer to that question but I do have some input.
Any new products or processes that will eliminate obstacles to accomplishing tasks of any kind or frustrations about getting things done is probably a good innovation. One that comes to mind in the consumer world is cable TV. An area where we cause some innovation is in the selections of TV packages available to consumers.

I get frustrated by the fact that I only need a few TV channels but most cable companies seem to assume that everyone wants the larger package. Wouldn't it be great if one of the companies innovated a customized package for a reasonable price?
Another is the cell phone options available. It would be nice to have a plan that only offers the specific services needed rather that the full capability of a smart phone?
How about products to remove other frustrations like waiting in line ... or banking ... or landscaping?
Anyway, we offer solutions to our audience in the form of communication options including our print magazine, websites, e-newsletters, podcasts, webinars, Conference, and more. If you can think of any other innovative ideas for delivering content, let me know.
