I thank our 2017 sponsors of our Fluid Power Technology Conference in advance for their participation coming up on May 16-17, 2017 at the Milwaukee School of Engineer.

Two returning sponsors that I will call attention to today are Aggressive Hydraulics and Balluff who both participated in our 2016 event.



Aggressive Hydraulics will be presenting a session titled Six reasons your system might need a smart cylinder.  The use of “Smart Cylinders”, or hydraulic cylinders with integral electronic linear sensors, is on the rise.  The driving factors include the capabilities and reliability of both machine control electronics and of sensors, as well as increasingly demanding design goals due to competition, customer expectations and regulation.  With application examples from a variety of different industries, six potential system improvements that are made possible by smart cylinders are presented.  

Balluff will also be presenting on their area of specialty which involves controls for cylinders and fluid power systems in general.  This session as with all presentations are solution-based talks that will address specific aspects of system design and operation.  We invite all of our attendees to listen to the talks and then visit the booths of or sponsors for more information.

I should say, our editors and graphics team has done it again.
