The Fluid Power Industrial Consortium
The Fluid Power Industrial Consortium is an excellent event that is produced by our friend, Tom Wanke of the Milwaukee School of Engineering in conjunction with the NFPA. In fact, the event was scheduled to take place co-located with the NFPA Regional Meeting but due the pandemic, this year's June event is being presented as a webinar.
The title of the presentation on June 4, 2020 is Improving Fluid Power System Efficiency, Reliability, and Durability with Precision Manufacturing. Here is a link to a registration page
The specific topics and presenters include Bore Finishing Processes for Improved Hydraulic Component Performance presented by Phil Hanna of Sunnen Products Company, Technology Integration in Real Life Production Machining presented by John Belmonte of Mitotec Precision, LLC, and Maximizing Manufacturing Productivity in the Information Age presented by Dan Skulan of Renishaw, Inc. Having attended the FPIC events in the past as well as the NFPA Regional Meetings, I can tell you that they are very informative and, in person, they provide excellent networking opportunities.
The mission of the FPIC is similar to our Fluid Power Technology Conference in that they further the knowledge and understanding of fluid power technology. We are proud to partner with Tom Wanke on our events as well. I recommend the FPIC to all interested fluid power specialists from beginner to expert.
