Your thoughts about virtual events?
I know that many working professionals across the world are using Zoom, GoTo Meeting, Google, and other means of communicating and we have actually done so for quite a while now, from even before the pandemic. I also know that we have attended events through virtual means such as webinars for a long time too.
Now, with events being postponed, fluid power companies still need a means to communicate with their customers and prospective customers and many have turned to digital platforms to replace face-to face events. Back in 2017, Fluid Power World started our Fluid Power Technology Conference creating a forum for the exchange of information, for networking, and for getting to know more about what works best in fluid power.

We had two great events planned for 2020 with the first conference taking place in Minnesota at the University of Minnesota in June. Well, that plan got changed and, right now, it looks like that will not happen. To replace it, we are planning a virtual event. But we want that virtual event to be most useful to all of our sponsors, presenters, and audience.
We plan to include technical sessions presenting on a staggered basis about every other week. We will offer a means for our presenters and sponsors to communicate with our attendees. There will be a place on our websites where sponsors can feature their products too. We plan to promote all of this with our magazine, websites, e-newsletters, e-blasts, and a special Fluid Power Technology Conference e-newsletter.
Are we missing anything. Do you have any suggestions on what we can also offer? If so, please e-mail your ideas to me at mference@wtwhmedia.com
